SAMPLE RECIPE
Cherry-Pecan Bread
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
3/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 cup Buttermilk
1 cup Pecans, chopped
1 jar (10oz.) Maraschino Cherries, drained and chopped

Preheat over to 350 degrees.

Lightly grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Set aside. In mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together flour, salt and soda. Set aside. In large mixing bowl, cream together sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately to creamed mixture. Beat just until blended after each addition. Fold in nuts and cherries. Turn batter into prepared pan. Bake for 60 minutes or until knife insertd in center comes out clean. Remove from pan, cool. If desired , glaze with icing. Can be wrapped in plastic wrap, then foil very securely.
